I am a painter with a BFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder, originally from the San Francisco Bay area and a long-time resident of New York City and the Catskill Mountains. The images I use in my paintings are sourced from photographs. By combining disparate images , I paint unique composite landscapes in a semi-photorealistic style integrating multiple perspectives, distorted scale and odd pairings of subject matter. When painting using more than one source photo, the transition between the images is where the challenge lies. This is also where I find the most potential in a painting.
